At Pointe-Noire, Congo, a HIV-positive married man and father was released from prison when the police became aware of his HIV status. The deep meaning of this history must be analyzed.
We will never tire of saying; HIV/AIDS continues to be a subject of controversy and stigma even in police stations.
An HIV-positive man who had committed an offence has been jailed at the police station in the neighborhood pending the outcome of the procedure that was underway. He was released because police men feared that he will infect other prisoners.
We can therefore say that the fight against HIV/AIDS cannot only focus on prevention, but we should also advocate for the rights and duties of people living with HIV/AIDS.

HIV is a nasty disease. Once you get it, there is no cure for it. Safe sex and abstinence is the only way to avoid getting it.
